Bones, Gabrielle and Houlette enjoy a sunny afternoon in Port Townsend, June 2004. Here, Bones was the poster child for chemotherapy as we thought his lymphoma to be in remission. Sadly he was gone within three months.

The Briard is first and foremost a herding breed and the genetic imprinting for this trait is remarkable. After spending the first two+ years of his life by the sea, Bones took to moving sheep as though he had done it every day of his life. Hillsboro OR, January 1998.
Everyone has a "heart" dog - one that touches in a special way throughout life, opening new doors along the way. Bones was that dog. He approached everything with joy and exuberance. He had that certain "je ne sais quoi."
Bones loved the beach from day-one and so our kennel name SeaBries was born. Here he is in Juneau Alaska with the Chilkats on the horizon, August 1996.
